Recommendations and post-treatment care

PIERCING

Complete recovery from 1 to 12 months. depending on the percing

Clean your piercing twice a day (morning and evening) with the cleanser recommended by your piercer.
Ideally clean in the shower or otherwise clean your hands thoroughly before and use moistened Q-tips

Clean the lymph on the barbel and around the piercing with water. Then put saline water on the stem and make a back and forth movement, then rinse well with water

Avoid touching or playing with your piercing

Avoid baths for 2 to 3 weeks following your piercing

Avoid swimming in chlorinated water and lakes for a period of 3 weeks following the piercing

Avoid clothing that is too tight or dirty.

Do not use the following products (Alcohol, Polysporin, Peroxide). Only use water saline and spectrogel which is recommended by your piercer

buccal piercing

During the first 4 weeks, rinse your mouth with alcohol-free mouthwash every time you eat. Maximum 3 times a day

Brush your teeth after each meal to prevent the proliferation of bacteria

If you smoke, rinse your mouth with water (ideally spring water, as it does not contain bacteria). Cigarettes slow down the healing process

Swelling could appear during the 4 to 5 days following the piercing, it can also last up to a period of 2 weeks. To reduce swelling, eat cold foods (ice, popsicles, slush etc. or take anti-inflammatories (Advil or Motrin)

Avoid talking too much the first few days (this tires the tongue)

Avoid food that is too hot or spicy

Avoid oral sex for 3 to 4 weeks

Avoid beer for 10 to 14 days

Avoid cannabis because it could increase swelling. If you absolutely must consume it, always rinse your mouth with water following each consumption.

MICRODERMAL

Complete recovery from 1 to 12 months. depending on the location of the dermal

Clean your dermal twice a day (morning and evening) for a period of 3 weeks with neutral PH soap foam (spectrogel). Leave on for 1 to 2 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. You can also remove any trace of secretion with a damp cotton swab

Do not hang your implant (you can attach a diachylon for the night) and let it breathe in the open air during the day for a period of 4 to 6 weeks

Avoid touching or playing with your dermal

Avoid baths for a period of 2 to 3 weeks following your dermal

Avoid swimming in chlorinated water and lakes for a period of 3 weeks following the dermal

Avoid direct contact of your implant with animals or any other contaminants

Do not use the following products (Alcohol, Polysporin, Peroxide), only use saline water and the spectrogel that is recommended by your piercer.
